Mrs. Herren's Fifth Grade Class
Teacher's Bio: 
has 5 children including 2 daughter's that are
students at HCCS. Michelle and her husband Jeff,
are Fincastle residents. She attended Whiteoak High
School and went on to Wilmington College where she
earned a Bachelors Degree in English. In her spare
time, Mrs. Herren enjoys reading, watching the news,
family time and jogging.

We are working on our Academic Fair Research Reports.Final report is due on Tuesday, March 2.
In Math we are learning about decimals.
After List 18 in our Spelling book, we will be switching to the ABEKA Spelling book.
The ABEKA is more challenging.

Valentine Party - Friday, February 12
Students will bring in valentines for every student in the class. I will provide
each student with a Valentine bag. We will be watching the new Veggie
Tale Valentine episode. I will make popcorn. Students may bring other snacks.
March :
1 - Read-a-thon
4 - Academic Fair
April :
Testing (either 5-9 or 12-16)
14 - field trip - play at Murphy Theater in Wilmington lunch out.
No more Science in April. Health Begins.
