  HCCS offers full day Kindergarten - 6th grade. We use the A Beka Christian based curriculum, along with a few others, all of which are Bible based. The teachers, staff, and school board members take pride on serving parents and children in an environment that stimulates intellectual, physical, spiritual and social growth. Highland County Christian School seeks to bring an added dimension to each child's development centered around Biblical principles and moral values, with the application of Christian values to everyday living. We emphasize character development based upon biblical truth because we believe that the Bible is the authoritative word of God; the foundation of all truth. The Scripture speaks repeatedly of the significance of educating our children; both spiritually and academically.

At the heart of Highland County Christian School is a Christ-centered environment for children. The school is a ministry of the Hillsboro Church of Christ and was established in 1994. We are located at 265 W. Walnut St., Hillsboro, Ohio. This building has been named the Center of Ministry and Education and will be shared by HCCS and the Hillsboro Church of Christ. Each classroom is designed to accommodate twenty children max with handicapped accessible rest rooms on the ground floor. Classrooms are roomy, comfortable and offer a bright, scenic view of
the outdoor world around them.

Our Philosophy of Education:

HCCS exists primarily to assist Christian parents in fulfilling their divine responsibility to thoroughly train each child to obey God in every area of life. The ultimate goal of HCCS is to provide quality education in a Christian  environment. We believe that all truth is God's truth and it's source is Jesus Christ. (John 14:6; Colossians 2:2-3)

Every subject, whether scientific, historical, mathematical, literary, or artistic, is taught with the consciousness that Jesus Christ is to be central in all living and learning. Our program is geared to meet not only the intellectual needs of the students but also their physical, social, and spiritual needs.

Furthermore, HCCS shall provide an environment which encourages each student to discover their unique abilities, to develop those graces and skills demonstrated in the life of Christ, to achieve educational excellence in all disciplines, and to exercise God-given gifts in the expanding opportunities of Christian developement.
